Surgery & Diagnostics

Our highly skilled team can perform a large range of procedures;

Surgery we are proficient in a range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical procedures.

De-Sexing of cats, dogs and rabbits.

Dentistry performed to a high standard including teeth cleaning with ultrasonic scaling and polishing, dental x-ray, and extractions of diseased or damaged teeth.

Digital X-Rays to assist in diagnosis of a range of orthopaedic and medical conditions

Laboratory including blood testing, urine analysis, cytology is performed inhouse.

Ultrasonography to visualize internal organs, tissues and structures to assess the health of organs such as the liver, kidneys, heart, and bladder.

If your pet is unwell or in pain, or if you have noticed anything unusual we can perform a full medical examination and establish a treatment plan to best manage your pet’s needs.

We are an independent, locally owned and operated companion animal clinic located in the friendly Opawa community close to the tranquil Ōpāwaho/Heathcote river, Hansen Park and the beautiful Port Hills.

My wee kitten was treated with care and respect both times we have been in, and even given tasty treats to distract him. Friendly staff, beautiful wallpaper, and a lovely separate entrance for cats. When I had hand surgery they were really accommodating and looked after wee Hansel for a few hours to make his treatment possible. I also appreciate the after care they proactively provided.
